In 1891 a group of monks established the monastery of St. Bernard Abbey in north Alabama and set a standard of Benedictine “Ora et Labora” — “prayer and work” — that has inspired generations of monks ever since. In addition to our school and parish work, the monks have taken on a variety of other ministries that require our daily attention and care. The world-famous Ave Maria Grotto, St. Bernard Retreat and Conference Center (Boniface Hall), and Abbey Farm are just a few examples. St. Bernard has always stood firm on its foundation and tradition of prayer and work and continues to do so today. replica rolex sea dweller watches
Much has been accomplished during the past 130 years as we carry forward the torch handed down to us by our forbearers, now in our 131st year. Thanks to you, we were able to generate transformative impact for St. Bernard through our most recently completed capital campaign. As we open the Anniversary Campaign for St. Bernard, we aspire to continue this momentum and create even more impact for the School and Abbey by focusing our attention on five main areas: Monastery Renovations, Abbey Church Repairs, Administration Building Window Restoration, Placidus Hall Renovation, and endowment support.
At St. Bernard generosity is never forgotten. Our donors are remembered not just today or this year, but always. Your visionary support will also be remembered and celebrated by future monks, students, faculty, visitors, and guests who will benefit from your generosity well into St. Bernard’s future — an enduring, impactful legacy.
Gifts to the campaign are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. St. Bernard Abbey and St. Bernard Preparatory School are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. Gifts may be made in a single payment with cash or stock, as a one-time gift, or in multiple payments over four years.
You may also make a pledge or gift securely online using the donation form below.
Thank you for your support! You make it possible for all of us at St. Bernard to accomplish much good for the glory of God.
