Since 1891, St. Bernard Prep School has welcomed students from many countries. The first international students were German immigrants. As time passed, students from other nations came to St. Bernard to benefit from the school’s high standards and Christian culture.

Embracing Global Perspectives

The international tradition remains strong at St. Bernard Prep. Our multinational student body reflects a larger world rich with various cultures.

International students are an essential part of school life, creating something of a United Nations in North Alabama!

Over the years, students have come to St. Bernard from...

Austria  |  Brazil  |  China  |  Colombia  |  Ethiopia  |  Finland  |  Ivory Coast  |  Japan  |  Korea  |  Liberia  |  Mexico  |  The Philippines  |  Rwanda  |  Spain  |  Sweden  |  Taiwan  |  Thailand

Lifelong Connections

International students have the opportunity for an excellent education and mastery of the English language as they integrate within the student body. During school holidays, many are invited into the homes of American classmates and their families. These close ties become friendships for life.
